Are you ready to take the next step in your career and become a certified teacher? Grow with Irving is your opportunity to earn your bachelor’s degree and teaching certification — with tuition paid by Irving ISD!
About the Program
Irving ISD, in partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) and the Teachworthy alternative certification program, is launching a new cohort for dedicated paraprofessionals like you.
Selected participants will:

Complete an accelerated bachelor’s degree in Integrated Studies from IWU

Earn their teaching certification through Teachworthy, a Capturing Kids’ Hearts partner
-
Remain employed in Irving ISD while completing the program
-
Be placed in an IISD classroom as a certified teacher upon graduation
-
Commit to teaching in Irving ISD for at least three years after completion
Program Details
This program is designed for motivated, organized paraprofessionals who are ready to balance full-time work with college and certification requirements.

A personalized degree plan will outline required courses based on your previous college credits

IWU coursework is online, year-round, and delivered in 5-week sessions

Irving ISD coursework occurs online and face-to-face, and will account for 27 hours of college credit

Complete online certification modules through Teachworthy while continuing in your current IISD role
