Board Work Sessions begin at 5 p.m.

General Board Session begins at 7:00 p.m.

Individuals who wish to address the Board will need to arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled session and complete a Public Comment Request Card, that will be available outside the Board Meeting space upon arrival. After completing the Public Comment Request Card, give the card to the Board Secretary, Board President, or Superintendent. Those who submit completed Public Comment Request Cards will be recognized during the relevant “Public Comment” section of the meeting agenda.

*Please note all Agenda Items will be heard during the First Order of Business and all Non-Agenda Items will be heard after the Executive Session.

Before addressing the Board, speakers will identify themselves by name, address and organization represented, if any. No individual speaker will be given less than 1 minute, but no more than 3 minutes to make their comment. The exact time allotted to each speaker shall be determined by the presiding officer.

Public comments may not include charges against any District employee, student or community member. If a speaker attempts to make a complaint that identifies a District employee, student, or community member, the presiding officer may remind the speaker of this restriction and may refer the speaker to the appropriate channel to address their complaint.

No public comment may incite violence, threaten an individual, or disrupt the decorum of the meeting. If, after at least one warning, any individual continues to disrupt the meeting by their words or actions, the presiding officer may request assistance from law enforcement officials to have the individual removed from the meeting.

If an individual has been prohibited from being present on District property or within proximity of a Board Trustee or District employee due to a criminal trespass warning or citation, protective order, court order, or another legal restriction, the individual may contact the Legal Services Department to discuss options for making public comment without being physically present.

If you have timely submitted a complete Public Comment Request Card and you may be physically present during the meeting, you will be called to present your comments aloud during the relevant public comment portion of the Board’s agenda. Remember: You must identify yourself, provide your home address, for the comments to be considered, as well as state the agenda item you are addressing.
