What’s new this year?
- Employer sponsored Telehealth services will be provided through Recuro beginning 9/1/2025. Eligible employees and their households have 24/7/365 access to board-certified doctors for treatment of common medical conditions along with comprehensive behavioral health care!
- New York Life will be offering Critical Illness insurance effective 9/1/2025. This benefit provides financial protection if you or a covered loved one is diagnosed with a major illness – such as heart attack, stroke, cancer or major organ failure.
- This Open Enrollment you will have the opportunity to purchase Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Permanent Life insurance with no health questions for you and your eligible dependents.

You may attend one of two in-person events. Please register in advance for assistance.

You also can call 833.600.1491, which is our Irving ISD dedicated number for Higginbotham. They are availibile Monday – Friday 7AM to 6PM CST with English and Spanish Assistance available.Please note that members of the Irving ISD Benefits Team are not able to advise staff on what plans may be best for them. Higginbotham provides licensed enrollers who are qualified to assist with the enrollment process.

Do I have to complete enrollment if I don't want to change anything?
Open Enrollment is not required, and elections will roll into the future year; however, it is highly recommended to review your elections and update your beneficiaries annually.

Can I come to the benefits department for assistance with enrollment?
Our staff are not licensed enrollers, our third-party administrator has processes in place to ensure quality customer service and training for enrollers. They are the most qualified to assist. You can reach them by calling 833.600.1491 or emailing irvingisd@hps.higginbotham.net

What and when is the benefits vendor fair?
Join us for the Annual Benefits Vendor Fair on July 17th from 10 am – 2 pm at the Administration Building. This is a come and go style event - registration to attend the fair is not required; however, if you want to meet with an enroller for guidance on 7/17 click here.

My plan is requiring me to list a PCP, where can I find that information?

I am a new hire. How much time do I have to complete enrollment?
You need to complete enrollment within 30 calendar days from your date of hire. Please prioritize completing this as soon as possible so you aren’t without critical benefits for the school year.

In Irving ISD, we value our employees and work hard to ensure they receive comprehensive benefit packages and competitive salaries to live comfortably in the DFW Metroplex.
The Irving School Board approved a $451 contribution per month per participating full-time employee towards medical insurance premiums. Irving ISD continues to be a frontrunner in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in providing medical contributions for our district employees.
