STAAR Testing

  • The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) is a series of tests that help tell us how our students are doing in school.

The goal is to make sure each child is learning what he or she should be based on the state curriculum and is on trach to graduate from high school for college, a career, or the military.

The program includes the following yearly tests:

    • Science, grades 5 and 8
    • Social studies, grade 8
    • End-of-Course (EOC) tests for English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology and U.S. History
