Irving ISD strives to promote student interest in curriculum offerings, scholastic achievement, student self government and mastery of essential knowledge and skills through school-sponsored organizations. Student participation is optional and governed by Texas law, the Student Handbook and the Student Code of Conduct in addition to organization specific constitutions. While activities designed to promote group cohesion are encouraged, hazing of students by employees, students, former students, etc. is prohibited.
