    Credit Recovery

The Irving ISD Credit Recovery Program is designed to provide students who have not successfully earned credit for a course an opportunity to gain those credits via an online platform covering the same content that was delivered in the original face-to-face class so they can graduate on time. Core classes, as well as some electives, are offered through the Edgenuity web-based instructional program which will give students the opportunity to move at their own pace in order to master the skills necessary to successfully complete the course requirements. The program is designed to add value to a student’s instructional schedule by allowing the student to repeat classes they have previously failed.

    The Credit Recovery Courses:

    • Are taught/monitored by an Irving ISD teacher at each high school campus

    • Are taken during the school day, usually in a grad lab setting

    • Afford students the opportunity to proceed at their own pace

    • Offer students the opportunity to graduate on-time according to their four-year plan
