When do schools open for 2024-2025 school year?
The first day of school for students is Monday, August 12, 2024.
Parents can begin calling campuses on Monday, July 29, 2024.

How do I know if I am enrolling a new or returning student?
A new student is:
- a student who has never attended an Irving ISD school
- a student that withdrew from Irving ISD prior to the completion of the 2023-2024 school year
A returning student is:
- a student returning to the same campus next year or moving from one campus to another
- a student currently enrolled and who completed the 2023-2024 school year in Irving ISD

Do I have to register online?
All students, including new and returning students, will need to register online. Registration for 1st through 12th grade opens Monday, April 15, 2024.

What if I have more than one student in the district enrolling? Do I need to complete a separate form for each child?
You will need to register each child separately because you will need to provide information that is specific for each child.

Once I have completed the registration process, am I finished registering my child?
If you were able to upload the required documents for online registration, you are done.
If were unable to upload the documents for online registration, you will need to deliver those to your child's school.

I chose the wrong school when registering. How can I change it?
If you choose the wrong school, please call the school your child is supposed to be enrolled at and ask for the Data Processing (DP) Clerk.
The DP Clerk can transfer your child's registration to the correct school.

I don't have an email address. Can I register?
Email is the best way for Irving ISD to communicate with parents during the year.
If you do not have an email address, you can create a free one from www.outlook.com or www.gmail.com.
Returning Student Registration Questions

What documents are required for registration?
If you have moved, you will need to verify your address by uploading one of the following Proof of Residency documents:
- A current lease agreement
- The most recent tax receipt indicating home ownership
- A current utility bill (gas, water or electric) indicating the address and the adult’s name
In addition, the adult will need to present a valid identification indicating the correct address.
For a student living separate and apart from his or her parent, guardian or other person having lawful control under a court order, the adult district resident with whom the student resides shall provide proof of residence in the same manner as a parent.Please note, the adult district resident and the parent may need to complete an affidavit.

How do I register from my Home Access Center (HAC) account?
Within the Home Access Center (HAC), complete the following registration steps:
Step 1: Click on the Registration icon.
Step 2: Click on the Update Enrollment tab at the top.
Step 3: Click on Start link next to the 22-23 Returning Student Registration.
Step 4: Link the Home Access Center (HAC) to your student's online registration account.
Step 5: Complete and submit all required documents.

What if I don't have a Home Access Center (HAC) account?
If your child is returning to the district, you will need a Home Access Center (HAC) account.
If you do not have a HAC account, create your own account here or call 972.600.5250.

New Student Registration Questions

What documents are required for registration?
The following documents are required for new student registration:
- Valid ID
- Previous report cards
- Immunization records
- Birth certificate
- One of the following Proof of Residency documents:
- Current utility bill (gas, electric or water) or
- An apartment/house contract
In addition, the adult will need to present a valid identification indicating the correct address.

How do I register as a new student?
Families of new students can log into the online registration portal to begin the registration process.
For the registration process, you must have a valid email address.
PreK Questions

When does my child have to turn 3-years-old or 4-years-old to enroll in the program?
Your child must be 3 years old to qualify for 3-year-old PreK or 4 years old to qualify for 4-year-old PreK by September 1.
We do not make exceptions for the birth date.

What PreK programs are offered?
Irving ISD offers the following programs:
- Tuition-Based, Full-Day PreK for 3 and 4 year-olds
- Free, Half-Day PreK for 3 year-olds
- Head Start Free, Full-Day PreK for 4-year-olds
- Free, Full-Day PreK for 4-year-olds
