Registration for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year opens on Monday, April 1. To learn more about PreK options in Irving ISD as well as the registration process for each one, review the listings below.

Free, Full-Day for 4-year-olds (Returning to Irving ISD)
If your 3-year-old child is currently in PreK, you can register your child for PreK for 4-year-olds beginning Monday, April 15.

Free PreK for New Students to Irving ISD
Irving ISD offers free half-day PreK for 3-year-olds and full-day PreK for 4-year-olds. PreK registration is first-come, first-served for our 3-year-old students.
Follow these steps to secure your child's spot for the 2024-2025 school year:
Step 1: Register your Child starting April 1
Complete online registration beginning Monday, April 1. The link will be added here on April 1.
You will be required to upload the following required documents:
- Parent or Guardian identification: driver’s license, passport
- Proof of residence: lease, gas bill, water bill or electric bill in parent’s name. Phone/cable will not be accepted.
- Your child’s proof of age: official birth certificate or passport
- Your child’s social security card
- Current immunization records
- Your proof of income for qualification:
- Recent paycheck stub (within 30 days)
- SNAP or TANF letter with EDG number
- Child support/alimony
- Medicaid letter with case number
- Pension/retirement
- Unemployment
- Disability or worker’s comp
- Proof of active military duty/disabled military (if applicable)
- Proof of Foster Care (if applicable)
- Texas Star Certificate (if applicable)

Step 2: Language Testing (if applicable)
Schedule the PreK language assessment at your child’s campus. The campus will notify you if this step is necessary and will set an appointment on Saturday, April 27 or May 4.Step 3: School Communication
Once you have submitted your PreK application, your child's campus will contact you with next steps. Please note, if you are registering in the summer, you will not be contacted until campus personnel return in August. -
Tuition-Based, Full-Day for 3- & 4-year-olds
PreK registration is first-come, first-served. For the 2024-2025 school year, tuition is approximately $100 per week and due at the 1st of each month.
Step 1:
Complete online registration beginning Monday, April 1. The link will be added here on April 1.
Completing the tuition-based PreK application shows your interest but does not confirm your child's seat. Once your spot has been confirmed by the campus (Step 2), please register (Step 3) to complete the process. Students who do not register will be removed from the PreK list.
Tuition-based PreK Campuses:
- Kinkeade Early Childhood School (Location: southwest Irving)
- Pierce Early Childhood School (Location: southeast Irving)
- Clifton Early Childhood School (Location: north Irving)

Please note: Students determined as English Language Learners will qualify for the free PreK program.

Your child's campus will schedule an in-person appointment with you to complete payment and handbook agreements. -
Head Start Free, Full-Day for 4-year-olds

Completing the Headstart application shows your interest but does not confirm your child's seat. Once your spot has been confirmed by the campus (Step 2), please register (Step 3) to complete the process. Students who do not register will be removed from the PreK list.
