Shauna Villarreal, Principal
An educator of over 20 years, Principal Villarreal has served in Irving ISD for 13 years. Before joining the Davis Elementary family, she was principal at Britain Elementary School. She was also an assistant principal at Keyes Elementary, an academic specialist at Stipes Elementary and an interventionist at Schulze Elementary. She taught third grade at Johnston Elementary and was also a teacher in Duncanville and Grand Prairie.
Villarreal holds a Bachelors Degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies III and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. She is also a mother of two.
Principal Villarreal is honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead Davis Elementary, and eagerly anticipating the chance to collaborate with Davis staff, students, and community members to foster a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

Jaime Mendoza, Assistant Principal
Mr. Jaime Mendoza has proudly served in Irving ISD for more than a decade. Born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, he moved to Irving with his family at the age of six. Inspired by the teachers who helped him learn English and supported his educational journey, Mr. Mendoza is honored to give back to the community where it all began by serving in the very district that shaped him. His mission is to ensure that every child has the same opportunity to succeed that he was given.
He is a proud product of Irving ISD, having attended John Haley Elementary, Lee Britain Elementary, Bowie Middle School, and graduating from Nimitz High School. Mr. Mendoza began his career in education as a classroom teacher at Townsell Elementary and Davis Elementary before moving into campus leadership. He has since served as an Assistant Principal at Brandenburg Elementary, de Zavala Middle School, and currently at Davis Elementary.
Mr. Mendoza earned his undergraduate degree and a Master of Education in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where all students can thrive.

Matthew Troyanowski, Assistant Principal
Mr. Troyanowski, also known as Mr. T, has over 10 years of education experience. He was a second and fifth grade teacher at Mike Davis Elementary in Naples, FL as well as fifth grade teacher at Vickery Elementary in Lewisville ISD prior to joining the Davis Elementary staff as Assistant Principal.
Mr. Troyanowski holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Mathematics Education from Texas Christian University. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Principal as an Instructional Leader from Lamar University.
Mr. Troyanowski is grateful to continue serving in the Davis Elementary community to foster a positive learning environment so that all learners can grow to their fullest potential both academically and socially.
