Welcome to the Clifton Early Childhood School Library
Where Little Caterpillars Become Big Readers!
The Clifton Early Childhood School Library first opened its doors in January 2000, with a collection professionally curated by Kristi Betts. Renee Newry proudly served as our school’s first librarian, establishing a foundation built on curiosity, imagination, and a love of reading.
Over the years, our library has continued to grow and evolve. In the summer of 2002, the library expanded in size to better serve our young learners. Most recently, in July 2025, our space was completely reimagined—transformed into a modern, flexible, and age-appropriate environment filled with inviting new furniture, cozy reading areas, and a redesigned collection arranged to make books more accessible and engaging for early learners.
Our story has been shaped by dedicated library professionals. Ms. Jenette Morgan joined Clifton in 2005 as Librarian and Instructional Technology Specialist. In the fall of 2017, Ms. Pamela Wright became Clifton’s Library and Information Specialist, continuing the tradition of fostering curiosity and a lifelong love of reading.
Today, our library is home to over 5,000 items—including both ebooks and print books—carefully selected based on professional reviews and district criteria to meet the needs and interests of our students, families, and staff.
Families are always welcome! Parents can visit the library (or sign up online) for a Family Library Card, giving them access to our wonderful collection and digital resources.
We look forward to welcoming you into our library—a place where little caterpillars become big readers, where stories come alive, curiosity grows, and every child discovers the joy of books.
We can’t wait to see you in the library!
