Crystal Colbert has a strong commitment to inspiring the youth and assisting students to reach their full potential. As a Dallas, Texas native, Ms. Colbert began her educational experience at The University of Houston obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas.  This Master’s Degree has served as a great guide for learning the best practices for instructing and motivating the population she has so much desired to educate. In Ms. Colbert’s 13 years of teaching, she has made significant contributions to the overall school culture at the campuses she has served. She is looking forward to continue growing as an educational leader and working with staff and students in this capacity. Ms. Colbert has been told she has a natural gift of educating and leading and she is eager to continue to display this as she continues her educational journey as the Dean of Students at Travis Middle School.
