Eric Ogle, Principal
After earning degrees in Language and Composition and Communication Studies at the University of North Texas in 1998, Eric Ogle began working with young people as a youth minister. He joined Irving ISD in 2003 as an English and Communication Applications teacher. He taught for five years at Cardwell Career Preparatory Center then earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. He began serving as an administrator, working for two years at Lamar Middle School, then he returned to Cardwell CPC as an Assistant Principal. In 2014, he moved to Nimitz High School to serve as an Assistant Principal for two years. In 2016, Mr. Ogle returned to Lamar Middle School as the Principal. Mr. Ogle believes the entire school community – students, educators, and parents – can always learn and grow, and he believes that we all should be involved in ventures that positively affect others, not just ourselves. Lamar Middle School is a community that cultivates these beliefs: learning, growing, and belonging for all.
