Message from our Counselor
-
Welcome to the new school year at Kinkeade! As your learner’s counselor, I would like to tell you how excited I am to start this new year! I know this year is going to be very different for everyone, but I want you to know that I am here to support you!
Additionally, I want to let you know what opportunities are available to you and your children through our school counseling program. I will be delivering lessons virtually for learners as well as in person once we are back on campus.
- As the need arises, I will be leading small groups of learners and allowing them to obtain skills that will help them in their classroom and at home. I will notify you if your child is invited to attend one of these groups.
- I will be also be offering parent groups throughout the school year. These groups allow parents to come together and support each other as well as learn effective parenting skills.
- Please see below for the link to my website “Calm Kangaroos Counseling Corner” which will have many calming techniques for your learner to use as well as parent newsletters and guidance resources.
As always, please feel free to call me with any questions about the counseling program at Kinkeade. I look forward to working with you to ensure the emotional, social and academic success of your child.
Ramla Lalani, Counselor
