Mr. Manny Espino, Principal
Manny Espino, who has served as an administrator in Irving ISD for ten years, is the Principal of Crockett Middle School.
“I am honored and humbled to serve the students, parents, teachers and staff as principal at Crockett Middle School,” says Espino. “I cannot wait to get to know all the incredible Crockett Cougars and continue the wonderful learning taking place. I am truly thankful to the Irving ISD leadership team for entrusting me with this amazing opportunity.”
Prior to serving at Crockett Middle School, Espino served as Principal at Houston Middle School. He also served as Principal at Barton Elementary School, Assistant Principal at Austin Middle School, and Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at MacArthur High School. Before joining Team Irving, Espino worked in Garland ISD as an Elementary Bilingual, English/Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher.
Espino earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - Commerce and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Dr. Rick Garza, Assistant Principal
Dr. Rick Garza has been in education for over 25 years.
He started his educational career in Edinburg, Texas at Edinburg C.I.S.D. as a Special Education Campus Clerk. He also served as a dual credit Criminal Justice teacher at Georgetown ISD – Georgetown High School, a Middle School Assistant Principal at Elgin ISD – Elgin Middle School, a High School Assistant Principal at Hays CISD – Lehman High School, an Elementary Principal at Promesa Public Schools - East Austin College Prep Elementary. Before serving Crockett Middle School, he was an Assistant Principal at Bowie Middle School.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Pan American (now known as UTRGV), he also attended Texas Tech University where he earned his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership.

Ms. Marquette McGee, Assistant Principal
Marquette McGee brings 14 years of dedicated experience to the field of education. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from the University of North Texas – Denton and later obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
Having taught mathematics for grades 7-12 in districts such as Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie, and Arlington, she has a strong foundation in fostering student success. Her career took a significant turn when she joined Irving ISD, where she initially served as a teacher before advancing into administration after two years.
Her administrative journey has been marked by leadership roles across multiple districts, including Irving (Sam Houston Middle School), Dallas, Desoto, and Duncanville. Ms. McGee is thrilled to return to Irving ISD, where she is eager to continue making a positive impact on both students and teachers, helping them reach their full potential.

Ms. Josey Benavidez, Student Success Coach
Ms. Benavidez is excited to begin her 10th year in education! As a PROUD Irving High School graduate, she is excited to support the community, faculty, and staff of Crockett Middle School.Prior to retuning to Irving ISD, she previously served in Dallas ISD as a Special Education teacher and coach. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Lamar University and a Master’s degree from Liberty University.
