Natasha Stewart, Principal
I am honored to serve students, teachers, parents, and our entire school community as the Principal of MacArthur High School. My passion is to inspire educators to cultivate an environment which provides students with educational experiences that are conducive to preparing them to be productive citizens who are tolerant of a world of differences, capable of adapting to change, and able to evolve into life-long problem solvers. Every individual at MacArthur High School has value and through collaborative efforts to build positive relationships and a tireless quest for academic, leadership, and service excellence students will achieve high levels of achievement. Parents are valuable to our students’ learning process so we will foster partnerships and create an inviting atmosphere that allows parents to enhance student success in the school setting. Together we can provide students with opportunities to learn at optimal levels and reach their full academic potential. I fully embrace the responsibility of leading the Cardinal family in this great district.
Prior to becoming the Principal at MacArthur, I served as the principal at Bowie Middle School for three years. Over the course of 5 years before IISD, I worked at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield ISD as an Associate Principal of Academics, Associate Principal of Facilities, and an Assistant Principal. I was an Athletic Coordinator and Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Mansfield High school for 7 years before becoming a campus administrator. Other school districts I spent time as a Science Teacher and Head Girls’ Basketball Coach include Fort Worth and Kennedale ISD. My educational journey in higher institutions of learning include West Texas A&M where I earned a bachelor’s degree while playing basketball on full athletic scholarship, Emporia State University where I received a master’s degree while serving as the recruiting coordinator of the Women’s Basketball program, and UT-Arlington where I obtained principal certification in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
